Edward Howell and James Rook found guilty on an indictment for the highway robbery of Ryan John Stephenson:  robbing him of goods valued at £4.  I have not found the indictment for this.  They were originally detained on suspicion of robbing the mail on 1st November 1792 between Shoreham and Brighthelmstone.  They were  hanged in chains  the same gallows following execution.
